“This is bold vulnerability, unapologetic emotion, packaged in a mellow, melodic EP which is unbelievably easy to listen to. It's a contrast that can go very wrong, but Helen Pearson does it very right.” (MC)

Melting Pot with the legendary Rich and Deadly 'If you missed the show on @GetRadioUK & the chat with our special guest - the wonderful @HPearsonmusic you can listen to it via our catch up channel'   https://m.mixcloud.com/MeltingPotEynsham/melting-pot-episode-seventy-two/ (January 2024)

‘Her songs express vulnerability and strength. They are perfectly matched by delicacy with a touch of steel of her vocals and guitar. She is most expansive in Falling Backwards and her music can be intriguingly enigmatic.' Nightshift Magazine, September 2023.

Gorgeous lo-fi, melodic folk-pop-punk. Captivating, emotional, delicately written songs and not to be missed.'                         Tap Market

'Quiet, fractured, acoustic songs...homemade, wispy, wise, melancholic, hopeful, melodic, sweet and slightly inscrutable. The more you listen, the more you'll find.' Gappy Tooth

Singer-songwriter, guitar

Folk, Pop-Punk. I try to make music so that details like words, images and melodies jump out at the listener, a bit like a close-up in photography. Abstract, dark, delicate, dream-like. Songs about life and death, nature, emotions and other stuff.

I have been excited to release some of my new songs as an EP, which has been recorded and produced by Mike Bannard at Safehouse Studio and mastered by Tim Turan. It has been fantastic to work with Paul Allen who has added his incredible guitar sounds at the end of Falling Backwards, and the hugely talented Mike Kentish who wrote the beautiful guitar patterns on Real Life, which inspired me to create the vocal melody around it.
